چکیده

Many cities around the world encourage transition to battery-powered vehicles minimize carbon footprint of transportation sector. Deploying large-scale wireless charging infrastructures charge electric transit buses when loading and unloading passengers have become an effective way reduce emissions. The standard plug-in a limited amount power stored in battery, resulting frequent stops refill energy. Optimal siting bus is essential reducing these inconveniences enhancing sustainability performance fleet. Wireless innovation transmitting through electromagnetic induction portable electrical devices for energy renewal. Online Electric Vehicle (OLEV) new technology that allows vehicle be charged while it motion, thus removing need stop at station. Developed by Korea Advanced Institute Science Technology (KAIST), OLEV picks up electricity from transmitters buried underground. This paper aims investigate cost logistics three types networks: stationary (SWC), quasi-dynamic (QWC), dynamic (DWC), deployed size battery capacity buses, using service borough Manhattan (MN) New York City (NYC).

Initial Energy Logistics Cost Analysis for Stationary, Quasi-Dynamic, and Dynamic Wireless Charging Public Transportation Systems

This paper presents an initial investment cost analysis of public transportation systems operating with wireless charging electric vehicles (EVs). There are three different types of wireless charging systems, namely, stationary wireless charging (SWC), in which charging happens only when the vehicle is parked or idle, quasi-dynamic wireless charging (QWC), in which power is transferred when a v...

LEBRP - A Lightweight and Energy Balancing Routing Protocol for Energy-Constrained Wireless Ad Hoc Networks

A wireless ad hoc network typically refers to any set of wireless networks where all devices have equal status on a network and are free to associate with any other wireless ad hoc network devices in their range. As the nature of these networks, they commonly do not have external power supplies, and each node has a limited internal power source. In this paper, we put forward a new routing proto...

Distributed Optimization in Transportation and Logistics Networks

Many important problems in communication networks, transportation networks, and logistics networks are solved by the minimization of cost functions. In general, these can be complex optimization problems involving many variables. However, physicists noted that in a network, a node variable (such as the amount of resources of the nodes) is connected to a set of link variables (such as the flow c...

A Case Study in School Transportation Logistics

In the paper, a school bus routing problem, its mathematical models and solution methods are investigated. The aim of the study is to search for school bus routing problem and its solution method and to apply them for a sample case study. The case study concerns the routing and scheduling of school buses in an exemplary, well-recognized school located in one of Polish community. The problem is ...

A Study on Wireless Charging for Prolonging the Lifetime of Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless charging is an important issue in wireless sensor networks, since it can provide an emerging and effective solution in the absence of other power supplies. The state-of-the-art methods employ a mobile car and a predefined moving path to charge the sensor nodes in the network. Previous studies only consider a factor of the network (i.e., residual energy of sensor node) as a constraint t...
